Our life together began as many other people’s were coming to a tragic end. We met in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in February of 2010, only a few weeks after the unthinkable earthquake. I was a retired Army Special Forces officer trying to do something good, and she was an emergency physician actually doing something good.

Fours years later, while on our way back from trekking through Southeast Asia, we were married at sunset on a small beach in Kona, Hawai’i.

Either together or separately we have visited over a third of the world’s countries, and we know we are only getting started: Explore, Dream, Discover.
